China Regulation

Chinese export controls, customs procedure changes, data rules and product standards all reach foreign sellers eventually, usually through a supplier saying a shipment cannot move. Battery and lithium rules, export licensing on controlled materials, CCC certification, and the documentation required to get goods out of the country are operational constraints, not background reading. This tag covers regulation on the China side that changes what you can ship, what paperwork you need, or how long clearance takes. We also cover the destination-side compliance requirements your factory has to satisfy before goods leave. The pattern that catches sellers is assuming the supplier is on top of it. Some are. Verify rather than assume, especially on anything with a battery, a plug, or a claim on the label.

China ports slip on Saudel as Cosco orders 18 more ships

Cosco has committed about $3bn to 18 new container ships, which does nothing for your Q4 but plenty for 2028 rates. Brussels is briefing that the four-track talks with Beijing could move by the end of the year.
